Below is a list of the post offices that I will encounter either on or within 1 mile of the trail (or in nearby trail towns in which I intend to stay).

I will update this list as the walk progresses. Town arrival dates are estimates and may change, depending on how far I walk each day, so perhaps confirm date and location with me via email before you post.

If you wish to send me mail (I love mail!), I would recommend sending it to the intended address not less than 14 days prior to my arrival. So, if you wanted to send a letter to me for pick up in Hiawassee on the 19^th of March, for instance, you would need it to be in the post no later than the 5^th of March. If you wanted to send a letter to me for pickup in Hot Springs on the 9^th of April, you would need it in the post no later than 26^th March.

There are some cool websites that enable you to choose the post office and then the site automatically generates an address label in the preferred format. For example:

Please ensure that you include your address details on the back of any mail you send. This way:
a) I can reply (this is important to me)
b) the post office will be able to return the item in the event that it doesn’t reach me (this is important to them).

USPS won’t accept Fedex or UPS parcels, so anything sent via courier would have to go to an alternate address (i.e. a hotel or other business, rather than a post office). Let me know if ever that’s something you want to do and I will advise of my specific location. International mail sent through your national postal service (i.e. Australia Post) is fine.
